Experience
Andrea has an extensive, distinguished track record in competition and regulatory matters, in both the public and private sectors.
She served as Commissioner of Chile's Competition Tribunal (2004-2014) and as Chair of the Central Preventive Antitrust Commission (2003-2004). She led the Market Development Division at the Ministry of Economy (2000-2004), taking part in drafting regulations for public utilities and overseeing tariff-setting processes in the energy, water, and telecommunications sectors.
She has taught regulatory economics at several universities and directed the Master's in Applied Economics at Universidad Alberto Hurtado (2014-2018). She was a member of InvestChile's Public-Private Council (2019-2022) and an advisor to the National Productivity Commission (2014-2018).
She has served on the boards of private and public companies in the port and energy sectors. She was named a leading Competition Economist (2016) by Who's Who Legal.
